In presenting the essence of the souls of the Iranian (Persian) Masters through their words, he endeavors to create an artistic spectrum that utilizes colors that best reflect the power and the inherent meaning of various literary treasures that have been expressed as allegories (symbols and metaphors) that have been passed on to us from centuries ago and many generations before us with an understanding that we should pass it on to the future generations.

Substance and Form

Looking at these pieces, the viewer is inevitably drawn into reading the verses with discerning eyes. Within the body of the words and the verses, lies the "message", where the true meaning (food for soul) is hidden and waiting to be discovered.

The only purpose is an attempt to reflect the message in the best possible manner…..

The message is indeed the “Substance or the Elixir” and how it is presented reflects the “Form or the Reflection”. The “Form” is a vessel used to glorify the power and the beauty of the “Substance”! The substance is eternal and static, though the form can be ever-changing and dynamic. It is all about the Message....

Enjoy the essence of these literary & spiritual Masters.... brought to you from the pages of our colorful history....

Calligraphy Designs

Persian calligraphy designs, just like with calligraphy designs from the Orient and Arabic countries, are wide-ranging and embellished based on the style, skill, and preference of the calligrapher. It is well known that calligraphy requires a great deal of precision, hand training and focus in order to create the swooping lines and sharp angles of a beautiful piece of art. Creating a masterful piece of calligraphy art can take some artists months to complete, with countless hours spent hunched over the paper or canvas, pen in hand. The Nasta-liq style for calligraphy designs is the most revered and popular style for Persian calligraphy, and has been for hundreds of years.

One of the beautiful aspects of Persian calligraphy, besides the finished piece of art, is the breadth of historical influence an artist can draw from in order to create his or her calligraphy piece. Though tradition is an integral aspect of creating Persian calligraphy designs, each artist is able to incorporate certain unique stylistic elements as he/she sees fit. In the end, the artist’s ability to draw from the Iranian calligraphy tradition, while perfecting certain aspects of the craft, is what makes an outstanding piece of modern calligraphy.
